About RcSoft26
RcSoft26 was developed to provide laboratories with a practical and reliable software solution for legacy ARL Optical Emission Spectrometers.
As support for older analytical software platforms becomes increasingly limited, many laboratories continue to operate dependable ARL instruments that remain technically capable and operationally valuable.
RcSoft26 was created to help extend the operational life of these instruments through a modern, user-friendly software platform that improves workflow efficiency while maintaining compatibility with existing hardware systems.
About the Founder
RcSoft26 was developed by Raymond Chew, a service engineer with more than 50 years of experience working with Optical Emission Spectrometry systems and analytical instrumentation.
Raymond began his career with ARL before continuing with Thermo Fisher Scientific, building decades of specialised expertise in the installation, servicing, calibration, troubleshooting, and long-term operational support of Optical Emission Spectrometers used across industrial and laboratory environments.
Through years of working directly with customers, Raymond identified a recurring operational challenge faced by many facilities operating legacy spectrometer systems: ageing software platforms often limited visibility over calibration stability, analytical drift, and instrument performance trends. In many cases, undetected calibration issues or software limitations could lead to unplanned instrument downtime, production disruption, delayed analysis, and significant operational costs.
RcSoft26 was developed to address these challenges through a practical, reliable, and user-friendly software platform designed specifically for ARL Optical Emission Spectrometers.
The software provides operators with improved visibility into analytical performance, calibration monitoring, control analysis, and result processing — helping laboratories and production facilities maintain instrument reliability, minimise operational risk, and extend the usable life of existing equipment without costly hardware replacement.
Designed with both technical capability and operational simplicity in mind, RcSoft26 offers laboratories a low-disruption and cost-effective solution that can be implemented using existing compatible hardware systems.
For Raymond, the development of RcSoft26 reflects not only decades of technical experience, but also a long-standing commitment to supporting customers with practical solutions that improve reliability, efficiency, and analytical confidence in day-to-day operations.
