ARL Spectrometer Software Migration from WinOE to RcSoft
Before Installation. WinOE System Preparation
RcSoft installation is performed remotely via AnyDesk and is designed to minimise disruption to laboratory operations
Please complete the following steps:
Confirm and record the current WinOE software version
Perform a Drift Standardisation Update on the WinOE system
Analyse three Certified Reference Materials (CRM): Low - Mid - High, concentration level
These CRM results will be used to verify analytical performance between the existing WinOE system and RcSoft following installation
Computer Requirements

AnyDesk Setup.
Download AnyDesk from the official AnyDesk website. Installation is not required.
Save the AnyDesk application to your desktop for easy access during the remote installation session.
Installation Process
RcSoft installation is completed in two stages:
Stage 1 – Database Transfer
Locate the WinOE user database folder: C:\ARL_DATA\
Copy the entire folder to a USB drive.
Transfer the folder to the target computer and place it in: C:\ARL_DATA\
Stage 2 – Remote Installation
Launch AnyDesk and provide the connection address supplied by RcSoft Support.
Accept the incoming connection request.
RcSoft will upload and configure the converted user database.
Database integrity checks will be performed.
Final operational verification and system testing will be completed.
Performance Verification
RcSoft is installed alongside the existing WinOE system, enabling direct comparison and validation before full
adoption.
To switch between systems, simply connect the instrument COM cable to the system you wish to operate.
Using the same Low, Mid, and High CRM standards analysed during preparation, performance is verified by
comparing analytical results between WinOE and RcSoft.
